Pastor Carl B. McPherson, Sr.

Elder Carl B. McPherson Sr. was born May 10, 1955 in Fort Jackson, SC to the late Hensley and Gracie McPherson. He has five (5) brothers and one (1) sister. He was joined to Miss Jeanette B. McPherson in holy matrimony June 10, 1978. To this union of husband and wife they have three children: Carl Basil Jr., Chandra Carliss and Moneka LaTonya.

Elder McPherson has furthered his education as Associate Degree at Central Texas College in 1990. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Cameron University. After servicing 30 years in the United States Army, he retired as a Command Sergeant Major on July 1, 2004.

Elder McPherson was served in many capacities of ministry to include Usher, Brotherhood President, Young People Willing Worker President and Teacher, and Sunday School Teacher.
Elder McPherson served as Pastor of Hawkins Chapel Church of God in Christ in Frederick, Oklahoma. He has also served as an Associate Minister at New Hope Church of God in Christ, Lawton, Oklahoma, True Saints Church of God in Christ, Bamberg, Germany, New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ, Schweinfurt, Germany, Camp Bondstell Chapel Service, Kosovo, Word of Truth Church of God in Christ, Columbus, Georgia, The House of Prayer Church of God in Christ, El Paso, Texas, and Shiloh Church of God in Christ, Alexandria, Virginia.

Elder McPherson is the Pastor and Founder of The Answer Church of God in Christ in Fredericksburg, Virginia, since February 2004. The church is a member of the Washington D.C. District under Bishop Neavelle A. Coles, Sr.
